Props

The term 'props' refers to any moveable item, which is meant to be visible on film. This huge range of objects includes:

  • "Dressing Props" - the furniture, drapes, flooring, etc., used to dress sets

  • "Hand Props" - items which are used or held by Actors

  • "Hero Props" - objects central to the action in a scene

  • "Stunt Props" - replica items made of soft materials

  • "Mechanical Props" - which may move or illuminate

Props also include weapons, such as guns and knives, and greenery and foliage including trees and plants.

Props that I needed are costumes for my characters, a mobile phone, bedroom, bed, artificial lighting.

Costumes- I needed different sets of costumes for Paula Ponce to identify different times and scenes. The way she dresses is important as it could also show what type of person she is by the way she dresses. I took pictures of her in different costumes to help me rememeber what she is wearinf from head to toe just in case I need to re-film any scenes. However, the little girl in my trailer is only wearing one type of clothing to present that she is supernatural and could be wearing what she wore when she died.

Mobile phone- I need this for whne my character uses it to call someone for help.

Bedrooom- I needed a bedroom scene as thisis where everything happens because this is where she sleeps.

Artificial Lighting- I will be using lighting to create different moods by placing the light at certain positions.
