TOTAL FILM 196

The next film magazine that I looked at is from 'TOTAL FILM' magazine.

BY just looking at it, you can already tell that it is am action film that they are trying to advertise. First of all, the characters/ actors that are used for the magazine are well-knows for the action films they have starred in as well as their wardrobe in the photo. Secondly, the magazine uses a lot of orange together with white and red which makes a fire color. Fire is linked to explosions that again link with the genre of the film. The background of the magazine isn’t just a simple solid orange/red color but they have also edited it to make it look like fire exploding behind them. Red connotes danger that is like the film, it is dangerous because of all the action.

I like how they edited the magazine like gunshot holes to add pictures from what else that is inside the magazine, it is relevant to the film as well as being creative as it adds effect/ style to the magazine. Another thing that they've done is the picture in the middle left saying “INSIDE TOTAL RECALL". The circle looks like a target circle from a sniper which again links to action.

Overall, I like this magazine; it has a lot of writing on it but not big blocks of text which is good because it doesn’t make its overall appearance look too busy. The pictures are also just the right size not lapping the big picture.
