EMPIRE, RELEASE DATE: NOVEMBER2011

This magazine also contains 2 people on the front cover of the magazine; again I think that this is a good effect because it draws more attention to the viewer’s rather than having a busy picture. Both characters are looking serious and are dressed in black. This shows that the film may be a dark gothic film as well fitting in to the mystery genre.

The 'EMPIRE' is written in red which connotes danger, blood, but also love. So this could be a given hint that the film may also have some romance involved in it. The cover is a bit unusual because the two characters are both men but the colors and fonts around them look a bit girl with the PINK font colour.

The magazine uses 5 colors, red, white, pink, yellow and black. Personally I think it used too many colors and could have used fewer colors although I think that it still works except for the bright pink. The bright pink and the men for the front cover don’t match.

What I also like about it is that the magazine in the whole isn’t too busy, they only included one picture and the rest of the inside stories are written.

Looking at this, I will seriously consider thinking about what colors I could use that would work well together as well as the fonts I could use.
